Conflicts with other VPN apps

Android’s limit

One VPN service can be active in an Android user profile at a time. Starting another stops the existing service. Local filters using the VPN interface are subject to that limit too.

Before testing, identify the app currently controlling the VPN. Do not expect NetScope to automatically combine two VPNs or preserve the previous connection. For managed profiles or an enforced VPN, agree any changes with the device administrator.

An external proxy is a different scenario

In historical testing, Happ ran in Proxy Only mode without its own active VPN service; NetScope used it as an external SOCKS5 provider outside the NetScope scope. This is an experimental configuration, not ordinary simultaneous operation of two VPNs.

Do not copy that scenario unless the build, participants and permitted provider have been checked. Read proxy status.

If access is lost after switching VPNs, record the active service and NetScope message, then use the normal controls to return to your intended configuration. Do not clear app data to resolve a conflict.
